What do you get when you twerk, and you twirl, and you werk, and you swerve and you swirl?
A brand new Scissor Sisters track, of course! The camp favourites came out of indefinite hiatus to team up with singer MNDR on the brilliantly sassy SWERLK, their first single together in five years.
All proceeds go to the Contigo Fund, a non-profit organisation which looks to empower LGBT and Latinx individuals, immigrants and people of colour following last year’s shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
The song also comes with its own dance routine, courtesy of Brad Landers – you might recognise his work, as he previously choreographed the band’s high-octane queer anthem Let’s Have a Kiki back in 2012.
“We wanted to make a SWERLK dance so everyone could SWERLK,” MNDR told Out. “We reached out to our friend Brad Landers and he came up with the perfect dance that everyone can get down with.”
Fans are encouraged to upload their own videos of them performing the choreography with the hashtag #SWERLK.
