As part of the build-up to Leeds LGBT Pride 2017 BE LGBTQ+ have teamed up with Leeds LGBT Pride 2017 sponsors Manchester Airport to bring you this very special event.
Everyone is invited however if you’re Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) & LGBTQ then Be Outspoken is the Leeds LGBT Pride 2017 (Fringe Event) event for you!
They want you to express yourself and your views within a 5-10 minute time frame via:
1) Starting a conversation,
2) Presenting a spoken word piece,
3) Singing a song
4) Or by any other art form of your choosing to the audience regarding your feelings of identifying as both BAME & LGBTQ.
Ultimately, they want you to feel Pride in who you are!
This event is FREE.
It will take place on Thursday 3rd August 2017 from 6.30 pm until 9.30 pm at The Carriage Works Theatre (LS2 3AD) in Leeds.
FREE Non-Alcoholic Refreshments will be made available.
Leeds LGBT Pride 2017 (Main Event) will take place on the 5th and 6th August. The main event on Sunday will include two hours of entertainment in Millennium Square, a parade through the city centre with over 60 floats and five hours of entertainment in #gayleeds (Lower Briggate) to finish off an incredible weekend.
