George Shelley has been dropped from the Capital FM breakfast show

The former Union J star hosted his final show in the time slot on Friday.

George Shelley has been dropped from hosting the Capital FM Breakfast Show – along with his co-host Lilah Parsons – after Dave Berry decided to quit the station.

The 23-year-old has fronted the show over the past 14 months after finishing second on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in December 2015.

“Today is Dave, George and Lilah’s last day hosting the Capital London Breakfast show.” a spokesperson told Metro over the weekend.

“We wish Dave lots of luck in the future.”

However, George and Lilah will now move to a different show at the radio station, after bosses reportedly didn’t think they could anchor the breakfast show slot themselves.

“We’re pleased to say George and Lilah won’t be going far – more news on that, and the new Capital Breakfast Show very soon.” they added.

Meanwhile, George will guest star on ITV’s Benidorm later this week, as he heads to the Spanish resort on a lads holiday.
