A Tennesee woman has received a dead cow in a suspected homophobic threat for flying a rainbow flag outside her house.
Receiving a dead cow on your yard is anyone’s worse nightmare. So imagine how Gaelyn Porter felt when she discovered the grisly find on her front yard.
Before she discovered the cow she spotted a vehicle speeding off. As well as other attacks on her property and vehicles.
She spoke to Johnson City Press, stating she believed the attack was triggered by her flying Rainbow flags at the property. She refuses to letting it get her down stating she wouldn’t let anyone create fear. Refusing also to take down her flags, stating that she would be putting more up.
“I don’t know what motivation they would have for doing something like this. No one here has any enemies. Why would they be so hateful?”
Reported as a hate crime she is uncertain whether the authorities will be treating it as such.
Fair game also to the local neighbour organisation for selling rainbow flags as support following the incident.
She said: “I refuse to let something like this make me live in fear.
“I’m not going to take my flags down. In fact, I’m going to put up more, and I hope everyone else does, too.
